From the Office of the Dean
Dear Spring 2017 applicants:
Please be advised that we are working diligently to process and rank the applications we have received for the Spring 2017 Online/Hybrid Nursing Program Track. Orientation for accepted students will take place on November 30, 2016. Please hold this date and continue to watch your VCCS email for notification regarding your acceptance status.
Dr. Bob Wade
Interim Dean of Nursing
Due to earlier deadlines requiring student data to be submitted to our clinical partners we will be adopting the following start and end dates for applications for admission into the program:
- The Fall 2017 application process will open on March 8, 2017 and close on May 8, 2017.
- The Spring 2018 application process will open on July 20, 2017 and close on September 20, 2017.
- The Fall 2018 application process will open on January 20, 2018 and close on March 20, 2018.
Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be processed.
Dear Nursing Student Applicants,
As you may be aware, we have a very competitive application procedure for admission into the Nursing Program. Based on past performances on the TEAS Exam, I recommend that you set a goal of scoring in the 80s on this exam to have a competitive edge for admission, including consideration of your GPA and the other admission criteria. Beginning fall 2018, we will have a minimum TEAS score for application of 78. Thank you for your interest in the NOVA MEC Nursing Program.
