Children on Campus

Reissuing of Diplomas

You will receive only one diploma for each degree or certificate you earn.


Smoking is banned in all state facilities occupied or operated by executive branch agencies and institutions, including institutions of higher education.

Solicitation & Distribution of Materials on College Property

Student Records (FERPA)

NOVA makes every effort to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your records. Your official academic records, supporting documents and other records are maintained electronically or in hard copy format by designated members of the College administration.

Title IX
(On Sexual Discrimination, Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking)

As a recipient of federal funds, Northern Virginia Community College (the College or NOVA), is required to comply with Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. (“Title IX”), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities, admission and employment. The Student Grievance Process may be used to address student complaints of unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex. Allegations of sexual harassment or sexual assault are covered by the Title IX Policy and procedures.
